Sequencing a Story – There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Bat
Created By: Brenda Jasper
Activity Overview
– Students will listen to the story There was An Old Lady who Swallowed a Bat, by Lucille Colandro. I took pictures of the objects that she swallowed in the story and put them under the grid mat. I would then have the students program the Bee-bot to go to the objects in the order that she swallowed them. The second time that we did it they drew a number and then went to item she swallowed the corresponded with the number. They also practiced using the words, first, second, etc.
Activity Objectives
Students will
Send the Bee-bot to the objects the old woman swallowed in the same order as in the story
Draw a number and send the Bee-bot to the object that corresponded to the number.
